Bike MS: The Road Divided is an event that takes riders on a journey from Norman to Stillwater. Bike MS: The Road Divided began on Saturday morning, September 26th in Norman. Cyclists traveled north through Central Oklahoma and finished Day 1 for an overnight stay in historic Guthrie. On Day 2, the journey continued from Guthrie to the Bike MS: The Road Divided Finish Line in Stillwater. Participants experienced routes with fully-stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, a great lunch stop each day and support porvided by volunteer nurses, HAM radio operators and law enforcement. The Red River Roofing team, "The Red River Riders", raised over $1,000 for the event and two of the members finish the race in 1st and 2nd place overall.
Red River Roofing proudly partnered with the Angels Benefit Event in October 2013 at the Oklahoma History Center.
Angels Foster Family Network is a private foster child placing agency in Oklahoma County, rescuing infants and toddlers who have often been traumatized while living in emergency shelters or in a series of short term foster homes after being abused, neglected, or abandoned by their parents. Angels has placed over 100 children into foster care since our 2011 opening and we were just selected as one of two local foster agencies by the Department of Human Services to transform foster care in Oklahoma County.
Red River Roofing recently took part in the annual Red Andrews Christmas Dinner and Toy Drive. We were able to collect more than 450 toys to be donated and handed out during the Christmas Dinner held on December 25 at the Cox Center.
We would like to extend a thank you to all our customers and employees who participated with us in the toy drive.
Red River Roofing gave back to the community this year by helping out at Peppers Ranch. Peppers Ranch is a place committed to "breaking the cycle" of child abuse and neglect through shelter, counseling and growth-oriented activities.
Red River Roofing was also able to help out a retired law enforcement gentleman whose roof was previously installed improperly causing much damage to the inside of his home. The homeowner had simply called us for a quote for his roof replacement. When our account manager sat down with Mr. Lass and figured out what had happened during the last replacement Red River Roofing decided to make it right. We decided to replace Mr. Lass' roof at no cost. He now has a properly installed roof that will not leak and now he can have repairs made on the inside of his home.
Red River Roofing partnered with Tulsa Apartment Association to bring in donations for Tulsa Youth Services. We asked our past and present customers to help by bringing in used furniture, dishes, any non-food items. All donations are used to assist in setting up apartments for homeless individuals trying to get back on their feet. There was a nice turn out of donations to help with that process.
We would like to extend a thank you to all our customers and employees who participated with us in this effort.
For 31 years, every October, over 10,000 runners of all ages descend on downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma to participate in the Tulsa Run. Some are elite runners working to beat their best time. Many others are first-time runners who are simply trying to finish the race. In 2013, Red River Roofing was pleased to provide the official pace vehicle for the event. Congratulations to all who participated and finished.
